Our own Manoli Katakis and the contents of his garage: a 2013 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe on loan from The General, and his recently-purchased 2013 Chevy Volt. Manufactured less than two hours from each other in Michigan, both automobiles are so good, yet so different. Either way, it’s going to be a fun week.

enough to make your head spin…
Don’t you get a free Volt when you buy CTSV these days? I recall some Caddy dealers did that with Yugo as a freebie with Caddy purchase many years ago. LOL
No, but I know where you can go to get a complementary punch to the face. LMK if you need more info.
hahahaha
LOL, do not hold back. Hopefully this is an automatic allowing both of you to drive while waiting that 10,5 hr waiting for the Volt to charge up.
I think Tadge will be dropping off a C7 for me soon, anticipating in depth glowing review like the one that will be coming from this place for that caddy.
Lol, you’re complaining about being able to charge up your vehicle overnight while you sleep? Or is it Volt envy because Toyota doesn’t have any true plug-in vehicle
I know where gas station is so no lost sleep on my part. I’d check if I were you regarding Toyota not having full electric vehicles before making any statements, beats demonstrating ignorance.
The Rav4 EV is nothing but a overpriced compliance vehicle and the Plug-in Prius has 13 miles of range and sells poorly. Like I said, Toyota does not have a true plug-in vehicle.
I can care less how good Toyota EV’s are, the fact is Toyota has them and you made a blanket statement that was wrong. Learn to face up to your ignorance. Apparently if you do not like it, it does not exist? LMAO
Wait… you have a license? Surprising.
That’s ok, though, because after a nice hard one to the face, even your grandchildren will come out bruised.
You come across as a pretty violent guy, no need to threaten your readers, just bedazzle everyone with your intellect. Scary to think how you must behave on the road.:( Let us just hope you are just one of those tough internet commandos…
Dream garage! I’m so jealous! Even with a ’12 Centennial Z06 and ’02 Trans Am WS6 in the driveway 😉
Almost bought a WS6, but that’s like saying you almost f***** a model, you either did or you didnt, and if you didn’t you wish you had and walk around telling people “almost”. Yup.
DO you have anything done to it?
All the childish things so far 😛 cat-back exhaust by Borla and K&N air filters. Hopefully some more serious stuff in the future! And the Z06 may be taking a trip to Lingenfelter or Hennessey soon…
All the gas I saved in the previous week while driving the Volt was cancelled out with the CTS-V coupe. I went from averaging over 50 mpg to just over 12 mpg. I had to fill up EVERY DAY. These cars are equally great, in completely opposite ways. Or as one person told me, I was bringing balance to The Force. My heart will miss the V. My wallet, not so much.
Wow, that really sucks, well below the claimed 60 mpg “average”. If you have a Nissan dealer around you, this may be a good time to check out Leaf, it is rated at 99 mpg average. You will most likely take a serious beating on trade in but in a long run, it may be worth it to you.
Huh? Did you even read what he wrote? The Volt gets 98 mpgE, which is what you were referring too. Unlike the Leaf, the Volt has unlimited range if you need it, but lets forget for a moment you were just railing on plugging a vehicle in in the first place. Are you schizophrenic?
You are so ignorant it is not even funny. Hybrid car has three ranges, short, extended and combined. Volt gets 98 mpg EQUIVALENT when running off the battery, for 38 miles. After that, it uses combustion engine as a generator to power the electric motor and gets 37 mpg in ICE mode only. The third range is the combined range that uses both battery and ICE generator, this is the COMBINED MPG that should be right around 62 mpg according to GM. If Manoli gets 50, this clearly demonstrates how worthless GM ratings are. Nissan Leaf is pure electric with exactly twice the range of Volte running off the batteries, 75 miles which should be plenty for commuting to work for anyone. The MPG for Leaf is 106 mpg which is all the time, unlike with Volt. Now, stop bugging me since you are totally clueless.
The person who obviously cannot comprehend anything is YOU.
@boo – GM’s ratings on the Volt are worthless, since I regularly get 20-25% higher than what GM printed on the sticker for both electric and gasoline propulsion.
The sticker on my 2012 Volt states that I should expect 35 miles per charge, I regularly get 42-50 miles per charge. I really have to try hard to get “only” 35 miles on a charge.
The sticker also says that I should get 35 city and 40 highway (37 combined) using the gasoline engine. I had to burn gas in June (the fuel maintenance mode ran since I hadn’t burned any fuel since filling-up in June 2012, this mode forces you to burn gas to prevent it from going stale) and I averaged 44 mpg for the week with a high of 52 mpg one day. This is in hot and humid South Florida with the A/C blasting.
So yeah, GM’s ratings on the Volt are worthless.
By the way, I traded in a 2009 CTS-V sedan for my Volt. LOL
It actually makes me laugh when dumb people come on here and try to act cool bashing the website. Listen I know you have nothing better to do with your life @boo? What kind of name is that, it makes you look like a dweeb. You probably resemble a drunk hobbit as well.

Boo versus Manoli… My money is on the Greek.
As to what is sitting in Manoli’s garage… Dynamite… One question though… How long did it take him to clean up the garage before the photo was taken?
I noticed the attic storage ladder is down, that must be where all the junk is.

Bravo! Nice look… 🙂
