Earlier today, we reported on a peculiar Chevrolet Camaro in the mix with the rest of the Transformers 4 automotive cast at GM’s Milford Proving Grounds. Officially, the goldenrod Camaro is a special one-off concept for Bumblebee in the upcoming movie.
As for the brutish 1967 pro-touring Camaro, that will also be cast as Bumblebee’s car form, but earlier in the movie, before our favorite Transformer turns into the 2014 Camaro concept.
So… yeah. This is the new Bumblebee.

There’s also a pretty cool image out there with the new bumblebee in front of the GM design building in warren.
I Hope it becomes the new KITT next.
Oh God all we need is another silly Hasseldork car. I have a black Pontiac now and would love to pop the next guy who calls my car Kitt. Yes I am sensitive about it! LOL!
I look at the front end here an squint and try to imagine what GM is showing us here that may be relevant.
Keep in mind when this movie comes out the new Gen 5 will not be far behind.
I see Goodyear has paid to be in this one. Smart move.
We need a KITT type car.
I hope this is not a sign of the new camaros because it ugly. I would have to become a ford man if this is what your planing on doing to the camaro
lol the new mustang has a similar face, go buy a nissan
What isnt working for me it has that feel of a one car with a completely different cars front fascia grafted onto it. Its not bad though.
Please do not get excited as this car may only hold a couple hints of the new car but it’s not the new car. It is still the old 4th gen and 95% of the styling is still old 4th gen that will not carry over.
Remember this is a show car and Movie car that only may have hints of what is coming. It is too far out right now for GM to show much of anything coming and when the move comes out it will be around the time they start to hint.
The only thing we may have here is the head lamps and grill may hint of where they are going as well as the present cars tail lamps. The rest of the cars body is just the old car with grafted on flairs.
Keep in mind the last movie used the Corvette Stingray Show car for Sidekick and only the hard edges of the styling and grill were carried over but not much else. As with this car it only hinted at what was coming. Oh yes it also showed us the new name.
I owe a 2011 RS and it is a beautiful car. The only things I would like changed is to be several 100 pounds lighter and not feel like you are inside a bunker. Keep the V8 and V6, and maybe if it is lighter in weight you could add a Turbo 4.
That 2011 RS is awesome, what a cool car to own. The poor visibilty is the price you have to pay for REAL COOL styling (well spent!). You can kiss the V8 & V6 goodbye with Obama’s CAFE standards coming- none will survive 54.5 MPG.
That’s Right, End CAFE Standards.
Great comment. CAFE is full on social engineering and control- period. Plus Obama is handing the Japanese & Koreans another advantage with their traditional small cars and engines, while Detroit will struggle to keep the Pony car alive- but they will lose. Anyone that thinks CAFE is a good idea is an idiot.
That’s right.
When I first saw this on Camaro 5, I figured “meh not bad” now that I see it in full – I have to concede its not very attractive. At least it’s just a movie car.
Remember bumblebee from the second movie inspired the ZL1 front end. it was quoted in a road and track article in 2012.
It looks like they took the front end front from the last cavalier. I’m realy starting to get nervous about the next version.
That’s exactly what it looks like! A pumped up Cavalier! I’ve been Trying to pinpoint why I dont like the facia all day…
I was unaware that putting a foolish bumper on a 5th gen Camaro qualified as making a new “concept” vehicle.
Looks kinda goofy.
Maybe it’s the Chevelle?????
Smaller and lighter is good.
Once… the original Taurus was totally different, and it took the public to get used to it. The vestiges of that car are still seen in auto design to this day.
It took awhile to get used to new Cadillac as well. Now… the CTS coupe is one of the most striking, beautiful, cars out there.
