Redline Motorsports Announces Twin-Turbo Package For 2014 Corvette Stingray

Tuning companies are currently busy preparing performance packages for the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray and its new LT1 V8 engine. One of those companies is Redline Motorsports, who recently announced the “Adrenaline Rush Package” for the 2014 Stingray. Consisting of a twin-turbo upgrade, along with suspension and visual updates, it is one of the first tuning packages announced by any third party.

According to LSXTV, the power figure for the twin-turbo 2014 Stingray will be formidable 625 horsepower to the crank, while coil-over shocks paired with the Corvette’s new Magnetic Ride Control system promises incredible cornering abilities. There’s also new wheels to fit in larger carbon ceramic brakes. Meanwhile, cosmetic improvements can include a full carbon fiber aero package which includes a functional front splitter and front mount intercooler scoop, as well as new side skirts and rear spoiler. No word on pricing just yet, but stay tuned to GM Authority as we learn more.

  1. A twin turbo LT1 with only 625 bhp? Man that is paltry for a 6.2 sports cars, when you consider that a C6 ZR-1 already gets 638 with a supercharger.

    2. Gen V > Gen IV

That, and no parasitic loss because of the blower. There will be more plumbing to do, but it also comes in a better car. Those missing 10 horses aren’t the end of the world.

This news, however, does indicate what the LT can do.

    3. The engine obviously has much more in it. You can’t judge a motor, or performance car on hp alone. I assure you that the engine is under stressed.

  2. no such thing as MRC coilovers… yet.

    1. Yeah that raised my eyebrows as well. Unless they are retro fitting the magnetic shocks with mounting plates for the coils.

  3. how did they get a c7 already to design the kit, i thought they weren’t available yet ???

    1. With the magic of Photoshop. Virtually all of the body kits, including that awful C7 round tailight fascia thing, are ‘chops.

  4. super charger= no lag, good low end boost, better thermal efficiency

    1. Supercharger is also high parasitic losses.

  5. First Hennessey and now Redline promise improving a car they have absolutely no experience with. Why not add ability to fly at the same time, should be just as meaningful. Considering the complexity of the AFM drivetrain and DI, maybe best would be wait to actually find out if this can even be done in a way that will not compromise factory warranty and emission laws?

    1. Rest assured GM is facilitating “access” to proven tuners.

  7. What makes you think we have no experience with these? Do you know about the limits of the new direct injection fuel system? It will only support 630 crank horsepower…….You guys need to know more about the cars dynamics before you can rape it…also the mag ride coil overs…..something we designed…..and sitting on my desk……
