Recall Alert: GM Recalls 843 2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra Due To Passenger Airbag

General Motors is recalling 843 2014 model year crew cab Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks due to the possibility that the passenger airbag may not fully inflate during a crash. General Motors estimates that it has delivered over 40,000 of the trucks to dealers, according to GM spokesperson Alan Adler.

  • The models: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab and 2014 GMC Sierra crew cab.
  • The problem: possibility of passenger airbag not fully inflating during a crash.
  • The fix: GM will call trucks owners to ensure the vehicles are repaired, while dealers will fix the affected components that haven’t been delivered to customers.
  • Number of vehicles affected: 843.
  • Known incidents: there have not been any known injuries or crashes related to the malfunctioning airbags, according to GM.

  4. I think they should recall all the 2014 extended cabs and make the extended cab with the old suicide doors. I have been waiting long enough for a new truck with an extended cab and GM’s designers screwed the pooch again. I went with my 8 year old grandson to buy a new 2014 Silverado extended cab and had HIM try to get in the back seat. He had a hard time between the center pillar and poor design door but he did make it with a lot of effort!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t even get in the back without help from the salesman. It may look good on paper but did anyone @ GM even try to get in the back seat of a extended cab. Looks like I may have to buy my first FORD at least they have designers that can design a functional truck. If I Were GM CEO I would fire all those poor designers and hire real ones. I have been driving CHEVIES for over 40 years and I didn’t buy the last UGLY design and know you build a all new NON FUNCTIONING EXTENDED CAB. Way to go chevy, you only have one more chance and it better be SOON The all new Colorado extended cab. I’m not waiting LONG!!!!!!!!!!!
