Latest 2015 Cadillac Escalade Spy Photos Reveal Massive Taillights

The next-generation 2015 Cadillac Escalade was recently photographed, and it’s lost a bit of its covering compared to what we’ve seen before. Found on Car & Driver, the K2XX-based Escalade appears to have some towering taillights, not unlike what we see from the outgoing Cadillac CTS Wagon, but blended with the first-generation Cadillac SRX. This will be one of the many differences separating the luxurious behemoth from its lesser platform mates, along with the finest interior yet.

Here’s the twist: rumors are that it won’t debut at an auto show. Rather, the reveal of the all-new Escalade may command enough attention for its own event.

  1. You can also now see that the new escalade will have the same sunroof as the current gen. I’m disappointed at this. The new range rovers have HUGE sunroofs, almost the entire roof is glass. If they want to separate the new escalade more from the Tahoe and Yukon, I think a panoramic sunroof or all glass roof needs to be an option. More and more car brands (even non luxury brands) are offering it.

  2. Could this be the Cadillac reveal at Cobble Beach?

    1. And by that I mean Pebble Beach… Pebble, cobble, all a bunch of rocks.

      1. Cobble is sometimes what the designers do. From what we can see this new Escalade looks sharp.

      1. Why can’t you guys just include the photos in your news article? It’s annoying when I follow a link from the daily digest e-mail to the site, only to have to hunt and peck to find the original article’s link embedded in your article. Either blatantly put “Click here to see the original article with pictures” or just include the pics in the article… how hard is that?

  4. Not sure if they are all tail lights. I think the top is just black plexi glass. But in this condition it could even just be camo too.

Just because this one has a smaller sun roof does not mean they will not also offer a larger option. Not everyone likes the large roof and GM has in the past offer more than one option on some models.

  5. Can’t we just wait to see the thing in person! seeing pics are nice and fun but dam why is it that every car or truck that comes out with pics people have to kill it before even looking at it!

Does it make people feel better to kill something only by seeing it in pics?

    1. And that in a nutshell is why all of the OEMs hate people taking spy shots. They see a pre-production mule that has a mashup of parts – many of which are not going to carry over into the production module – and people start getting a distaste for the vehicle before the OEM can even unveil it. Like when the 2010 Camaro was in pre-production stage and they used a dummy headlight – everyone on the Camaro forums were up in arms about how ugly the headlights were.

  7. So, just like the pickups, GM didn’t see fit to spend the money to differentiate this premium product like Nissan did with Infinity. Cool. “If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got.”
