Following the firings over manipulating emissions testing figures in India, General Motors now has a new global powertrain chief in Jim Lanzon, who replaces Sam Winegarden, the former global powertrain head and 44-year GM veteran who was relieved of his duties. Lanzon has been with General Motors for nearly as long as Winegarden, and has been assuming the role as vice president of powertrain global transmissions up until this point.
Lanzon is most recently known for his large involvement of the GM and Ford partnership to co-develop nine and 10-speed transmissions, which was announced earlier this year.

I hope they make a big example of these people!
Hi Brian. It was reported the top executives were fired, as well as everyone else that had a hand in the deception. That’s a pretty big example, don’t you think?
