2014 Chevy Silverado Lifted, As Well: Video

Earlier this week, we showed you what was possibly the first lifted 2014 GMC Sierra. Now, this could very well be the first lifted 2014 Silverado. But even if it’s not, it still looks awesome.

The lift is courtesy of Rough Country’s new 2.5″ suspension lift kit for the GM’s K2XX-based pickup trucks. According to RC, the lift kit is “more than a simple leveling kit”, with the design utilizing the “popular 2″ Lower Strut Extensions combined with a set of strut spacers and rear blocks to achieve a total of 2.5″ of lift”. This gives the trucks enough clearance to run up to a 285/70/17 tire.

Rough Country’s 100% bolt-on kit includes a set of Fabricated 2″ Rear Blocks to replace the OEM 1″ block”, with the fabricated blocks offering a longer lifespan than cast blocks while being “less susceptible to damage and the environment”.

  2. Most of the major MFG either have this done or are well on the way to working on it.

There is so much money in this segment that they got the first trucks they could get and most were well on the way to lifting fast.

It is not rocket science here and it does not take long to do this for most of them with todays fab shops and computer modeling.

    1. Why the neg?

I work in the performance and 4×4 aftermarket industry and just stated the truth that this is not hard to do anymore as it once was with the new modeling and in house fab shops. Companies do not waste time as the money is in the new trucks more so prevalent than the old trucks. The guys to do the big buck lifts generally are the ones who just bought a new truck..

If the idiot who posted the neg could enlighten why a simple statement on how fast the industry works today was out of place please opine.

The delays for new parts tend to be more with the engine and engine management systems and intakes as they have to meet EPA and CARB requirements and that takes time and money on the new vehicles. These things can take a year or more in most cases.

  3. Sweet! I have the 2.5 front level kit on my 11 Silverado CC. Get lots of positive comments. Might have to look into the rear blocks for the extra 1″ in the back, and the tires and rims look great on the 14!
