Being a spy photographer means that engineers hate you, perhaps over all other things. It also means the Internet loves you, as readers are able to get a look at what’s going to be in dealerships soon, and news outlets have something interesting to post on an otherwise slow day.
Take the gallery of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible that was published on Autoblog today for example. While the 2014 Camaro is nothing new, we did get a kick out of its driver flipping the cameraman the bird as he was driving by. You might, too.

I guess these engineers are just not nice anymore haha
Cannot tell who it is. He would be in trouble if we could. Not acceptable.
Guess what , if you are in public you should not expect privacy. The driver should be reprimanded since he makes GM look bad in front of the public for his one finger salute.
True, run around in next years model completely naked (the car) for the first time and expect people not to notice. What the he** was he thinking? No need to be RUDE about it.
What’s going on with these guys. Just ignore the spy photographers. No need to get hostile.
exactly , just do your job !!
Or maybe he was doing something he wasn’t supposed to.
My guess is he is in public relations training as we speak… “Uhhh Ya I am going to have to ask you to come in on Saturday. Yaaaaaa”
He just thought the guy was the number one spy photographer! Right? He shouldn’t run around without his camo on if he doesn’t want to be seen. Anybody else think the back taillight design looks old already?

Yeah it’s quite offensive in a way: flipping the bird to the public who’re obviously showing interest in the car is unnecessary. They should welcome the attention, it’ll generate interest and may even help sales in the long run. I don’t get why they’re testing this car uncamouflaged out in the open anyway. They should know better. But then again who’s to say the photographer didn’t do anything to incite the engineer?
Driving a behemoth like Camaro can be a trying experience.
have you ever driven one? do you own one? so how would you base your comments on? mine is a complete pleasure to drive. I know I own one…..
I test drove a few, this is why I would never own one.
No no no, you guys don’t get it…he wasn’t flipping the photographer. He was flipping the mustang that just past in the other direction!
I’m a bit surprised on how many of you want the driver to be punished. I’m not sure I would have acted much differently, considering the cars are high-profile celebs and the spy photographers are the paparazzi. Sometimes the drivers are pushed over the edge, and rarely are they looking to offend us enthusiasts. We all have our moments.
While I don’t condone his behaviour; I also don’t think it’s something that warrents firing or anything so drastic. That said, what did he expect? The camaro is a legendary nameplate. ANY news or info on the car will be pursued and chased down relentlessly. The engineer should have expected nothing less from the photagraphers.
I saw a white one yesterday
The car obviously doesn’t excite you, that’s okay if all drivers got hot no one would have produced something like a fiat for you
