Those familiar with Bergdorf Goodman Magazine already know about the publication and its fashion of being fashionable; and those who don’t… well, it’s what you’d call an “iconic fashion magazine”. For the June 2013 issue, the magazine features a series of classic Cadillac models on its cover as well as on the inside pages — marking the first time the publication has collaborated with a non-fashion partner on a fashion story.
The magazine will showcase and salute the history of American style from the beginning of the 20th century with a series of “vintage-inspired collections by designers”, including Oscar De La Renta, Michael Kors, and Marc Jacobs. The designer pieces will be placed next to classic Cadillacs by photographer Arnaud Pyvka — thereby blending timeless automotive design and leading contemporary fashion. Some of you might ask, “why” — and the answer would be, “because ‘high fashion'”.
Specifically, the magazine will contain a 24-page editorial spread with several Cadillac models and concepts dating back to its founding in 1902. The vehicles will include a 1912 Model 30, a 1953 Le Mans, and the Ciel concept that debuted in 2011.
To capture the action, Bergdorf Goodman traveled to Detroit to photograph the entire story in historic General Motors facilities, including the now-familiar climatic wind tunnel, the GM Heritage Center, and the GM Design Studio that was penned by renowned Finnish American architect and industrial designer Eero Saarinen.
“Cadillac has always been at the forefront of American luxury and style,” said Melody Lee, director of brand and reputation strategy at Cadillac. “Bergdorf Goodman has been a trailblazer in fashion, and the Cadillac feature on the cover of Bergdorf Magazine for this particular issue is both special and very fitting.”
Those who already subscribe to the June issue of Bergdorf Goodman Magazine should receive their June copy this week, while those looking to pick up a copy off the newsstands should have been able to do so the week of May 27th.
Happy browsing, reading, and high fashion!

This is brilliant marketing. Exactly right. NYC (my home town) will eat this up.
Now ‘re talking…this is what Cadillac should be doing…classic!!!!
This is pretty cool… oh-my-gawd are those cheap tacky Bridgestone tires on that Ciel? Boy that’s a buzz-killer. They couldn’t put some ‘Murrican tires on ‘dat? At least some Michelins.
those cheap tacky tire are one of kind….they have “Cadillac” inscribed into the sides of them
All I see is Bridgestone on it and they suck. Amazing how the UAW has no problem with non-union tires on a flagship car. I guess they only care about pensions now. GM is a joke when it comes to quality compared with Toyota, but Goodyear still makes a world class tire better than any Japanese company.
pretty girls and pretty cars, can’t go wrong !
