We’re reporting on-site from Detroit, covering the 2013 Belle Isle Grand Prix this weekend, and the first official race of the day ended in with a victory for Cadillac Racing, with Johnny O’Connell crossing the finish line first in the No. 3 Cadillac CTS-V.R Coupe with a fastest time of 1:34.452 and a top speed of 89.569 mph. In second place was K-PAX Racing driver Randy Pobst (also of Motor Trend fame), and third was Andy Pilgrim in the No. 8 Cadillac CTS-V.R, and a fastest lap of 1:34.494 and a top speed of 89.529 mph.
O’Connell won the race last year, as well. Stay tuned for Round 7, at 12:00 noon tomorrow (Sunday June 2nd, 2013).
