2014 will be the last model year for the GMT900-based (11th-generation) Chevy Suburban ahead of the arrival of the all-new 2015 Suburban based on the K2XX platform. So the massive GMT900-based SUV is going out with a bang for 2014.
For starters, the 2014 Suburban is adding a bevy of standard equipment thanks to the discontinuation of the Convenience Package. This results in all of the items in the package becoming standard, including remote start, backup camera, power-adjustable pedals, and rear park assist.
In addition, two colors are deleted (Black Granite Metallic and Blue Ray Metallic), and Concord Metallic becomes a full streamline production color.

Comments
So, Concord Metallic is on all 2014 Suburban’s?
That’s right, its part of the “normal” color palette on the 2014 Suburbans and Tahoes.
I was told that the body style would change on the 2014 Models. Is this not true? When will they be out? Not sure what the
GTM 900 base means…Would you explain? Thanks
With these additional features now coming standard will there be a price increase for 2014? Also, do you have any thoughts on when the 2015 Suburban will actually be available?
Any changes to the interior – specifically the way the second and third seats fold down? Hopefully flat without gaps.
So, are is the issue with the way the seats fold down flat resolved in the 2014 models? If not, I guess I will be forced to look for other SUVs. I hate that. I’ve driven Chevrolet Suburbans since 1997 but can not tolerate that flaw in the design,.
Ditto on the second seat issue. It really sucks that you can’t get a fully flat floor from the first row to the tail. It used to be that way. I won’t buy another Suburban until they reengineer this. And, the second row seats, when folded up, block a good deal of access via the second doors. I won’t buy another Suburban until they PROPERLY reengineer this.
I agree, That is why I still have my ’03
Will the interior change in the 2014 Suburban and any idea when will the 2015 models come out ?
Any reason why the 3/4 ton will be discontinued?
Will the 3/4 Ton be re-introduced with the 2015’s? How about a diesel option?
I’ve been waiting for the new model and more important a 3/4 ton. GM has done nothing but disappoint me in all the new changes. And how about no good motor options
With the addition of the k2xx chasis for 2015 will there be a major redesign for the exterior and interior? I feel the current model, even though brand new is still very dated.
Will somebody tell me what this new chassis is going to do? The truck better not end up being smaller or less rigid. I am used to the truck being a truck. Will this change? Should I get a 2014 even with the rear seat fold down issue. I will need something new this year or next.
Get a 2013 3/4 ton ASAP, before they’re gone. A dramatically more balanced and better driving vehicle. The 5.3 L struggles too hard to properly move a Suburban.
The 3/4 ton option with the 6.0L motor, or its successor is critical. There’s nothing about it on the 2015 site.
I will never purchase a suburban unless it comes with a diesel option. How about a factory built duraburb? I drive a company suburban and it’s hard on fuel and underpowered. A duramax 3/4 ton version would address both of these issues. My silverado weighs 8000lbs wet and I average 24mpg with light to moderate tuning. It also makes more torque and horsepower than modern day muscle cars with 525hp and 1000lb/ft of torque
The “journalist” did not answer any of the above questions written over the past 4 months nor were any of them answered in the article! Oh, but there has been a color change! Worthless.
