Chevrolet is delivering a few changes and updates to the Sonic subcompact hatchback and sedan for the 2014 model year. Among the changes are three new colors, the addition of a backup camera, advanced safety equipment, and two new specialty packages.
On the color front, the 2014 Sonic does away with three colors (Cyber Gray Metallic, Victory Red, Inferno Orange Metallic) but adds three new colors to the palette (Red Hot, Cool Blue, Ashen Gray Metallic). Improving safety for the Gamma-based subcompact is the addition of high-tech safety features, including the Rear Vision Camera and the Advanced Safety Package that includes Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning. Rounding out the changes is the deletion of the Lighter and Ashtray Package, a few small changes to interior trim colors, the addition of a remote trunk release on the Sedan model, as well as the addition of a power door lock switch on the driver’s door on all models. Finally, Chevy is also adding the Fun and Sun and LT Promotional packages to the 2014 Sonic trim level lineup.

Those sound like some pretty fun changes/enhancements!
I’m good with all of this and I really want to like this car but I really can’t buy the chopped off rear end. I really wish they’d re-design it along the lines of the Opel GTC or Ford Focus with a sloping back end.
I will be impressed when they add more power……… Now ford has the Focus ST,and they are bringing over a hot Fiesta with the 1.6 turbo engine!!! GM has all the perfect Ecotec Turbo engines in Europe to match or beat Ford but they persist in waiting till they get spanked before they wake up. I know most of GM’S exec’s are used to driving big luxury cars, but some of us prefer hot hatches like the Opel Astra Gtc, VW GTI,or Honda Civic Si. Come on already bring out a hot SS cruise that handles and performs like the Cobalt SS,or even an SS Sonic. Am i the only one who is getting tired of waiting? The hot subcompact market is waiting for something new.Better still why have different designs for North America?? Bring over the Opel Corsa instead of a next generation sonic, and the Opel Astra instead of the next generation Cruise. Just think of the cost savings, and maybe we can save Opel at the same time.
basically proceed with the link to the YouTube video below which highlights how to use the

What the he!! is this? a Hijacking or something? Completely off topic.
wasn’t the Sonic supposed to get Synergy Green paint? there seems to be some confusion from GM themselves, one of their 2014 model year guides mentioned it, but another didn’t
For me they are a bit small but I tend to like these little cars. The only thing that turns me off is the offbeat gauges. The safety additions are good too.
I’m hoping a Fiesta ST competitor is in the works.
Agree with many of the comments here regarding the need for an SS-Sonic. Also agree with the chopped off rear comment, which kind of ruins the look and reduces the capacity of the hatch model. But what’s really missing in this 2014 update is the armrest, which they should either do right or delete (so one could go aftermarket). Outrageous that they made this car unsuitable for men with long arms or broad shoulders, and I’m only slightly above average in those areas. On the other hand, they did get the leg room right for the driver. That was a problem for many years with most small cars. If you were an above average sized male you could not get a car that was good on gas. Eventually they will get everything right if we continue to write about it.
We need new more powerful engines not new colors and tape stripes LOL
I have a black one , and it looks like a roller skate to me.
I don`t like the black plastic surround of the tail lights either . but they would look cool if they were installed right into the sheetmetal without that plastic housing.
Rear end looks too chopped off.
I REALLY wanted to like the Sonic, to replace my HHR (which I love but has 135,000 miles so won’t last forever.) BUT, 1) I hate the tachometer where the speedometer should be… what’s the point in an automatic? and 2) It neeeeeeeeds lumbar support. All cars do, to compensate for the mandatory killer “active head restraints” which force me into Quasimodo position. My little HHR has an adjustable lumbar support, but even the Sonic with the most options doesn’t offer it. So if I have to replace my Hot Ride (HR) soon, it’ll be with a Hyndai hatchback. Try riding in your own cars, Chevy designers.
I Know what you mean Jane 57,but i think one of the main issues with the upper management in GM is that they see cars as a form of transportation and nothing else!!! Considering they are at a totally different pay scale than most of us how can we expect them to even comprehend what you or i really like or need? I wonder how many of these people even know the product they are selling. I went into a dealership a few weeks ago and asked about one of the new vehicles in their show room, each of the sales men including the manager had never even driven this model before. I think this is the issue with most companies nowadays, their job is just a way to put money in their pocket and their is no passion.

Candy Crush Saga was developed and created by King. They can play

can get five candies of the same color in a row you can create

There are plenty of environments to explore and plenty of cool moves
to learn. Given the phenomenon that “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy was, the
expectations for the film version of “The Hobbit” are understandably
high. And, of course, the rest of the Jak series deserves a mention, as well.
I can’t believe they didn’t install a center arm rest/console. Still no lumbar controls for the seats.
They put in all the techie crap that nobody needs in a small car but can’t make it more comfortable, even when people have been asking for it.
Come on, GM, sweat the small stuff!
I am a recently divorced fella. As a result I am seriously looking at the 2014 sonic RS. I can get every option (less moonroof) and get it all paid of in just a couple of years.
This car is a heck of a value and the fuel efficiency of the turbo is just awesome. I test drove the 2013 RS and was quite happy with the power, comfort and the tech.
Just goes to show you don’t have to be a young skateboarder to appreciate a good value.
Candy Crush Saga is an electronic game that was released on April 12, 2012 for Facebook. And then released on November 14, 2012 for smartphones. It was developed by King. As of March 2013, Candy Crush Saga surpassed FarmVille 2 as the most popular game on Facebook. With 46 million average monthly users. It is a variation on their browser game Candy Crush. This game is a variation of match-three games such as Bejeweled. Each level has a game board filled with differently colored candies, and might contain obstacles. The basic move of this game is horizontally or vertically swapping. The positions of two adjacent candies, to create sets of three (or more) candies of the same color. Combine 4 or 5 candies, and create new sweets that can then be combined to create spectacular effects that will crush even more candy.
