At the end of a race that saw a record-breaking 68 lead changes, it was 38-year-old Tony Kanaan that ended up with his first ever Indianapolis 500 victory. Significantly, a Chevrolet-powered vehicle took the top four spots, and seven of the top ten spots overall.
Chevrolet also provided the official pace car for the event — a 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray, as well as official Camaro festival cars. And just next weekend, IndyCar will be in Detroit for the Chevrolet Belle Isle Grand Prix.

Chevy pulled the fast one this year. They flat out smacked Honda in the mouth!
True dat! OMG, those blue Camaros looked grrreat, the Vette too. I’m glad they used the good looking Camaro instead of the new one. Too bad Firestone was the Indy tire sponsor, would have been much better to see that GoodYear blimp. Well deserved awesome day for Chevrolet.
Now we’re talking.
