With new styling, a dual-cockpit interior design, sport-sculpted seats (what’s that?), and the (optional) Chevy MyLink infotainment system, the 2013 Malibu “has the refined comfort to get you in the Malibu state of mind, no matter what state you live in.”
In case you’re interested in the ad’s sound track, it’s Obey Your Guns by Matrimony.
The GM Authority Take
The Malibu continues to sell slower than the outgoing model, but it might be more profitable for The General — even at the lower sales volume. And while the 2014 Malibu refresh is on the way, we’d love to see Chevy make an ad for the midsize sedan along the lines of The Classic is Back spot for the 2014 Impala.

Excellent AD, makes me think I need one… My Malibu state of mind is from 2006… And I actually see views of the exterior and interior in a GM AD shocking… And I was hoping for broken piano and melting cake…
Great car, great ad. Can someone phone Cadillac and ask them watch it?
It is a good ad. I have seen it on tv and liked it People should give this car a little more consideration as it is not as bad as the pundits think. My Malibu state of mind is circa 2011 and still enjoying it. I am also anxiously awaiting the new 2014 refresh to see if it will take me to a new Malibu state of mind.
