Joining the awesome Get Serious commercial for the Holden Colorado (aka Chevy Colorado) pickup truck is this new ad for the Holden Colorado 7 (aka Chevy Trailblazer). Just as its counterpart spot for the GMT355-based truck, this ad asks the viewer to Think About This, and then goes into a series of (beautiful) scenes where the SUV tackles some rugged terrain. There are two shots of the interior as well: one in which all seven passengers are awake, and the other where everyone but the driver is sleeping as the vehicle drives to its destination — which is probably to communicate the vehicle’s comfort.
Just as with the Colorado pickup ad, the song in the spot is called You Rascal You by Hanni El Khatib, and the clip was filmed in and around Queenstown, NZ. Enjoy:

That was a cool commercial, but they could have added a bit more action. Maybe some high speed off-road passes and at the end an awesome party in the night with a few more Colorado 7s. Just an opinion 🙂
When can we (US) get serious in the Trailblazer, huh… Its funny a local dealer sent me a service pamphlet with a new trailblazer on it… I was wondering if they new they couldnt even possibly service or sell the vehicle if they wanted to… Hah… Wisdom Seaker have you ever off roaded on a rocky canyon road, there is nothing you do that is fast in that environment…
Well if they are putting the next gen equinox on a smaller platform that will leave the trailblazer to have enough room between the others, although I like the current model.. Look at Toyota, they have the rav4, the 4runner, the fjcruiser, the sequoia, venza (crossover?), the highlander, and the land cruiser.. So if they have plenty of room and competition for it to be competitive. Plus a 2.8L 4cyinlder turbo diesel would be nice.. I also kind of curious how a new 4.2L be with the ecotec treatment would be like.. I like the fact that the inline 6’s have the low end torque, but it probably won’t be as effiecent as a v8..
If GM is going after Tacoma market share they may as well go after 4Runner share too. I think there is a definite market for the Trailblazer or at the very least a GMC Envoy version. The Equinox and Traverse are both feminine designs, in my opinion, so a Trailblazer would fit nicely in the lineup alongside the Tahoe.
I am interested to see if GM does a mid-cycle interior refresh before bringing the Colorado to the states; it appears on the cheap side.
