2014 Corvette Stingray To Star Alongside Bugatti Veyron As Autobots In Transformers 4

Michael Bay isn’t done producing the summer cash-cow movie series that is Transformers. And for the fourth installment, the Autobots are upping their exotic curb appeal, thanks to a $2.4 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Alongside that black and blue beauty will be a customized 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in an eye-popping emerald green hue (Synergy Green?) and a high-rise spoiler. Optimus Prime’s truck form also gets a makeover, too.

Over the top? We don’t think so, as the cars should somehow be able to match the insane special effects that Transformers movies are known for. Look for Transformers: 4 to hit the silver screen in the summer of 2014, starring Mark Wahlberg, and Nicola Peltz.

  1. The silver 2009 Chevy Corvette Autobot in the second movie “Revenge of the Fallen” was named “Sideswipe”, and he cut a Audi Decepticon named “Sideways” in half! Will he do the same to the Bugatti?

    1. I’m pretty sure they are both set to be Autobots, so they’ll likely just high-five a bunch.

  2. I hope GM fills up the roles for the good guys. This has been a very good marketing tool for GM.

It gets the cars out there and it leaves a lasting impression on kids. In marketing today what kids like and hate at an early age is found to leave a lasting impression on them as they get older.

  4. From this picture angle it looks like the fagged out import ricers, I used to see on the streets in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, with the big wing, body kit, and bright colors, the only thing missing is the sound of the fart-can exhaust, shame on whoever did this to this Stingray.

  6. The new corvette is a big joke, considering its weight and power (lack of such in reality). Is this new movie a comedy? C7 should be good for a laugh or two.

Maybe in this movie, C7 can be transformed in a real sports car instead of MPG counting, Camaro tail light equipped poser riding on skinny tires?

    1. You obviously know nothing about great cars!
Sure the new Corvette can use more power but not for the base car. The base car is very well done.
And I am sure that if your driving ability is equal to you knowledge that at 455 HP in the C7 is about four times more than you could handle.

      1. The only thing that is obvious is that you know nothing about Corvettes. My driving ability seems to be just fine to drive LS3 Corvette and Gen 4 Viper.

My current corvette is short 19 hp from C7 but it is also 250 pounds lighter than equivalent Z51 C7 joke. Drive these cars in real life instead of repeating marketing BS, you may not look like such a tool.

Oh and considering the number of electronic nannies on new vette, maybe you coulid drive one in real life? After all, this is what new vette is all about, people with no driving skills pretending to drive a sports car.
