Spy Photos Prove That The 2014 Cadillac ATS Coupe Is Coming

Just as Cadillac dealership representatives settle back into their offices after being briefed in Las Vegas on future products, and vow to never speak of what happened at Caesar’s Palace, spy photos of a bona fide 2014 Cadillac ATS Coupe have finally surfaced.

As speculated, the rear of the new Cadillac ATS Coupe doesn’t appear to be nearly as radical as what was seen with the Cadillac CTS Coupe, though it’s still hard to tell if the tail lamps will swoop towards the roof line, a favorite design trait of the CTS Coupe. There does seem to be a more aggressive integrated rear spoiler, however.

As for what’s under the hood, expect nothing different from the ATS Sedan, but it could be highly possible that Cadillac will ditch the 2.5L engine and offer only the 2.0L turbo and 3.6L V6 engine for the two-door model.

  2. Coupe on the way….good news. I wonder what the ’14 ATS sedan will offer for it standards?

    1. Standard equipment? Probably pretty much the exact same as the 2013. If there are tweaks, it’s likely just going to be in the colour pallet and CUE updates.
As for options and trim levels; ATS-V should debut next year as a 2015MY with likely the 3.6TT @ 420hp / 430lb-ft tq. Maybe even get the 7spd manual from the C7
Another big option should be the 8spd automatic.

      1. The C7 has a rear mounted gearbox, as does the C6. It would be way cool to have that on a ATS or CTS though.

  3. The ATS coupe will not disappoint at all and I can’t wait to see it….. Now, we just need a CTS coupe.

  5. There are too many compelling luxury and near-luxury cars for this to arrive looking anything other than drop-dead gorgeous. I’m hoping for the best.

  6. Please give it the touch pad door releases from the CTS Coupe. They give the side profile such a cleaner look compared to conventional door handles.

  7. Any some here were worried?

It is farther along and closer than you think.

The real question is the CTS as I expect it to get the green light if ATS coupe sales are at least 25%. Other wise I would look to the LTS for a larger coupe. GM has dropped many hints on this one. Some plain as day as the glamour concept

  8. When GM said that there would be no ATS coupe, I smiled. When they said that there would be no CTS coupe, I smiled again. BMW has never called their 5 series coupe a 5-series coupe. It’s a 6 series. Notice now that the 3-series coupe will be replaced by…surprise, surprise a 4-series. I’m now wondering if the plan by Cadillac is to rebadge the coupes as ATC and CTC (or some other manner), respectively, to bring the cars more in line with BMW’s nomenclature. That would therefore give truth to the claim that there would be no “ATS Coupe” or “CTS Coupe”…

    1. I agree. When I first heard of the CTS coupe, I like many other assumed the name of the car would be called the CTC. It would have been a great way to differentiate the CTS sedan from the coupe, and the same could have been done with the CTW.

    2. You know what, that is a very good point because the “S” in every Cadillac model means “Sedan” (the T means Touring). That doesn’t really make sense on a coupe…. Unless they change the meaning to “Sport” which makes sence as coupe buyers tend to like sportier cars. I do have to admit that ATC and CTC sound cool.
