The annual assembly of Cadillac dealers in Las Vegas is a surefire look into the future of the brand’s product portfolio. And for 2013, brand officials saw it fit to disclose two highly anticipated models: the next-generation, 2014 Cadillac Escalade, and a rakish Cadillac ATS Coupe. Both will be in showrooms by next year.
For the Escalade, details are still scarce, but expectations are that the K2XX luxury SUV will be more of a departure from its platform mates than in vehicles past, with an even more extensive use of high-end materials. Though at its core, the vehicle will remain the large body-on-frame, V8-powered SUV that everybody loves and loves to hate.
Meanwhile, the ATS Coupe will represent Cadillac’s only two-door offering outside of the limited-run ELR, as the sun begins to set on the radically designed last-generation CTS Coupe (with the all-new model launching late this year). Speaking of which, the ATS Coupe is quoted as not being as striking in the rear as the wedged CTS Coupe. We can only imagine that means there will be fewer blind spots.

The ELR will be a two door offering….
ATS coupe…sounds like a winner 🙂
GM needs a coupe–and a wagon–for the ATS and CTS if they want to take BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi by storm. So far they’ve done a very good job…
