Behind The Scenes With Buick’s “Blindsided” Ad Featuring Peyton Manning

After airing its new ad, called Blindsided, starring Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Buick has released this behind-the-scenes clip of the commercial. In the video, we hear from Manning himself, the director of the commercial Erich Joiner, and Buick VP of US Marketing Tony DiSalle:

The GM Authority Take

Besides being able to see the commercial-making-process in action, what caught our attention the most was DiSalle’s explanation behind selecting Mr. Manning: “while [Manning] is certainly elevated and premium in terms of his position in the NFL, he’s also very easy to relate to and very approachable and likable”, said DiSalle.

Overall, the actual ad is entertaining, while communicating Buick’s message for the Verano… even so, some of you sure as heck don’t seem to be fans of using celebrities to endorse a brand, or its product(s). Now, how about Shaq’s latest commercial?

  1. I used to do car commercials, been on those process trailers a number of time. That’s one production I would loved to have been part of, being a Denver Broncos (and GM) fan and all!

  3. Mr. Manning comes across as a down to earth, likeable guy. I believe that is the draw in here. Liked the behind the scenes look at the commercial.

  4. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos
