This new(ish) Opel commercial (supposedly) starts out in a very classical setting, but then turns into a mix of hip-hop and rock as the Adamdrives through the California desert while Germany’s Next Top Model contestant Lovelyn rides in and on top of the city car and its various color and trim combinations — demonstrating the diversity of customizations available on the vehicle. Meanwhile, two Native Americans observe the situation from horseback, with one telling the other “Don’t worry. The Adam is also available in your color”, and then proceeding to join in on the festivities by jumping on the Adam’s roof:

Nice and fun… and trendsetting, too. We’re sure this ad will resonate well with the target demographic Opel has determined for the Adam.

cool commercial, but the soccer moms would have this banned this in the US, like they did with the geico commercial with the pig on a date.
The Native American says:” Don’t worry. The Adam is also available in your color.”
Just what I was looking for. Thanks, @kingkong.
You’re welcome and greetings from Germany.
Cute But I’m surprised the safety nannies haven’t been all over this escapade in the desert.
yea, it seems like we always need a lot of disclaimers scrolling across the bottom to tell people who can’t figure it out on their own that this isn’t safe and they shouldn’t try it at home!
Yup, that’s just what I had in mind.
There is a disclaimer at the end (at about second 42):
“Please don’t repeat the scenes shown in the film.
They were shot with professionals on a closed road.
No top-model, no top-Indian, and no top-horse got hurt”
reminds me of the Ford Fusion Hybrid commercial, the main tag line of the commercial is that ‘it can’t do everything,’ but the fine print at the bottom actually says something like ‘fictionalization, cars cannot really fly, do not attempt’
Definitely looks better than the Fiat and a little bit better than the Mini.
Good commercial; good looking car, good looking girls, and fun.
Looks better than the Spark, too!
Upcoming SRi versions and certainly VXR versions will fly 🙂
The spot got the top position as “Creation of the month” in May 2013 in a reader’s vote of the web portal of “Horizont”, the weekly magazine for marketing, advertising and media, published by “Deutscher Fachverlag” in Frankfurt on Main, Germany.
1298 out of 1932 votes equals 67.2% (I don’t know if voting goes on, or if it ends today).
