There are strong expectations that the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray will be the official pace car for the 2013 Indianapolis 500, even though nothing’s been made official just yet. But to confirm suspicions, AutoWeek recently spotted a Stingray cruising around the Milford Proving Grounds with safety lights mounted behind the rear window. However, there’s no race livery indicating that the car will be used for Indy. It could just as well be used for the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, or both races.
The Indy 500 fires up May 26th. Visit AutoWeek for a full gallery.

That’s ok but I’d rather see a C7R on the track at ALMS events this year!
I would not expect the ALMS car till next year as long as Pratt and Miller are in the championship hunt. Now if they are falling back they may use it in the last few races if it gets approved.
Indy Pace cars just do not get the press like they used too. I remember when it was a big deal and there were only a few repo cars to make it fun to see them when one came to town.
I would like to see the Vette in the Hot Wheels Blue to match the Camaro’s.
