  1. There’s a lot of dislike for this car, but it has so much more presence on the road than the outgoing model. Hope GM’s tweaks turn out in higher sales.

  2. I really like this car – and I was never a big fan of the Malibu. The ho-hum predecessor is much improved here and will hopefully have an advantage with the tweaks for 2014.

  3. Jealous!
About the backseat, I heard from a pretty reliable source that the reason that some cars have back seats when they have no business having one is to get around the “sports car” tax or something like that. Although this one does have four doors so I guess that would not apply here.

  4. Sports car tax???

    1. Yeah. It might not be a tax but it has something to do with how the car is coded for DMV and crash safety tests or something. Obviously I need to ask more questions so I understand what I am talking about! 🙂

  7. Yes, Alex it does have some sexy swoopy lines. If they correct a few faults- rear seating, the Bangle butt (ok, but not my thing) and that blunt nose. It will be light years better. Some think the last gen. was too bland. Sorry but it has some of the same “sexy” swoopy lines. Which is why I bought one. One drive and the 2011 was mine. I had to have it. no regrets either. Could probably happen again with the right fixes on the new one.

  8. Also some one a few streets away bought a gold one. Have seen it a few times and it’s a sharp looking car in that color. Like it.

  9. Many don’t like the fact that it’s woefully under-powered.
