Watch A Corvette Z06 Do 0-200 MPH In 26 Seconds

You’ve already seen one Corvette (a ZR1) do a screaming 200 MPH on the open road. Count this one as your second, with the driver seemingly achieving 60 mph in less than a second, and then accelerating until the speedometer can’t go any further:

From the looks of it, the driver achieves 200 mph in 26 seconds in what seems to be a Corvette C6 Z06 with a respectable amount of modifications to it. According to the YouTube video descriptions, these include:

  • Engine removal & removal of intake manifold, cylinder heads, camshaft
  • CNC porting & polishing of cylinder heads for optimal flow
  • Multi-angle valve job & surfacing for 11.5:1 compression
  • Ferrea high performance dual valve springs, titanium retainers & valve locks
  • Z06 GT21 camshaft by Competition Cams
  • High Flow C6 Z06 Air induction & 4″ diameter Mass Air Sensor
  • Port Matched LS7 intake Manifold
  • Ported and polished LS7 throttle body
  • Higher capacity LS7 fuel injectors
  • GM Head gaskets & head bolts
  • 160 degree thermostat
  • Professional engine assembly and degreeing of camshaft
  • Professional engine installation,testing & tuning
  • American Racing Long Tube Headers
  • Corsa Exhausts
  • Exedy Twin Clutch
  • Fast Intake
  • 373 Gears

We feel for the guy (or gal) in the passenger seat who is struggling to keep the camera steady and focused on the speedometer.

Update: here’s some more footage of the same Z06 that’s in the video above, courtesy of GM Authority reader Rick:

  1. And by my count he still has another gear? I think he’s only in 5th at 200mph.
Kinda skeptical, even with a grocery list of mods.

    1. It’s because in 6th gear it doesn’t have the power to keep pushing over 200mpw ..top speed on z06s are achieved in 5th ..6th is just a gas saving gear

      1. No on 5th gear for z06 is better mpg than 6th gear. Believe it or not. 5th gear at 60 mph have more torque. I know of vette and mustang and all shit. I just correct you. And u know now.

  5. Guage cluster says Z06. And seriously bro, wind noise? Check yo self.

He could have started in 2nd as well. I bet since it’s geared so high that 1st lasts til 30mph. And it would explain the long high rev off the line from 0 to 10mph.

    1. I agree with you Yaba. I say this car was sitting on some jack stands with the rear wheels free to spin.

  8. This video has been out for years and it is real. It is a Lingenfelter tuned Z06 with the 660 HP package on the LS7, I have a few of his videos saved in my favorites list. YouTube took down his original site but he has a new listing.

  9. Nothing fake about this. My Z06 has almost identical modifications, so I have no doubts about this video. I haven’t been crazy enough to take mine to 200 mph, but it’s seen 150+ more than once, and it’s got plenty left!

  13. This is a legit run to 200 MPH in a LPE C6 Z06. No tricks or games. Note that this car does not have factory gearing. A radical heads & cam + gears setup on a NA 427=MONSTER.
