We love dually trucks. Love ’em. Can’t get enough of ’em. So when SEMA published a few photos of an all-new model in camouflage, excitement pulled at us like the torque of a Duramax diesel engine. The all-new Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD dually (not pictured) looks impressively massive — seemingly larger than the already large outgoing model. Notably, cutaway variants of the Silverado HD have been spied as well.
While we have yet to come across one of these behemoths in the wild, we have been up close and personal with the all new 2014 Silverado 1500, which is nearly the exact size of the outgoing 2500 HD model. If the same kind of escalation is to be seen with GM’s next line of Heavy Duty pickup trucks, it would be necessary for them to come equipped with sleeper cabins and fully functioning bathrooms.

That truck looks huge! I like it!
Beastly…
The new silverado is the god of all trucks.
Very nice! I particularly like the way the new truck’s styling is reminiscent of the ’73-’87 trucks. Looh at the shape of that Dually fender! The GMT 900’s reminded my of the ’73 style a bit, but the new trucks seem to be going further in that direction.
That’s an impressive truck for sure. But GM MUST do something to fill those wheel well gaps.
I know, WTF is with GM and huge wheel opening gaps? No one else does it, yet they continue.
Wheel gap leaves space for the springs to lower under stress, while still having room for the wheels to clear the wheel wells when they run over a bump. It’s all very functional.
Teaser shot keeping everyone guessing 😉
