Chevrolet and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute are partnering up to auction off the first production 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible on April 5 during the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach, Florida. All proceeds will be going towards the Institute.
As an extra, the General Motors Foundation will donate an additional $400,000 to the Institute, following its act from last year, bringing the total to $4.6 million in donations from GM to the Institute over the past 16 years the two have worked together.
The GM Foundation will officially donate the droptop Stingray during The Karmanos Cancer Institute’s 31st Annual Dinner on Saturday, April 20, at the General Motors’ Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center, where GM North America President Mark Reuss and his wife Kim will be chairing the event. Tickets start at $525 a person, with benefactor level tickets going for $725.
