In all of the truck videos we have posted here on GM Authority, Chevrolet seems to have, sadly, gone 0h-for-three. First there was a Silverado Heavy Duty losing to somebody’s mom’s VW V10 TDI Touareg. Then there was footage of a modified gas-powered Silverado losing badly to a highly modified Cummins-diesel powered Ram pickup. And now we have this case of a modified C/K Chevy Silverado 1500 catching fire after its differential exploded, losing badly in a pulling match in front of a crowd in Orlando, Florida. Watch below for the boom.
On a side note, if anybody has a good video of a Chevy truck emerging victorious in a pull, don’t hesitate to send it our way.

so sad
What’s his excuse for not using the Ford 9?
If there are Chevrolet/GM failure videos we should be the first ones to see them and they should be shown here first. As fans of the brand/company we should embrace the things that don’t go our way, just as much as the things that do. That said, that truck was modified from stock and only God knows what type of diff was on that, what condition it was maintained in or what materials it was made of. By itself, it’s no indication of how durable a Chevrolet product is.
I hate the idea of a ford product on a GM fords are TRASH just like toyota
The guy taking this video is an attention whore.
I know a guy who had a Ford F-350 that blew up in his driveway.. To bad I didn’t have a video camera at the time.. I had a friend that owned a Ford Super-Duty’s and his injectors blew, even after Ford fixed them under warranty they still only had 65%-70% of the power. If you post videos only to show where someone went wrong why don’t you show the Ford or Dodge trucks get beat or blown up, they are out there.. It’s not even telling half the truth.. I’m not blind by brands but I just think its kind of silly to post videos only showing the Silverado when there are more of the others out there.. I seen the side note..
