The 2013 New York International Auto Show represents the end of the American auto show season, and Cadillac, Chevrolet, and Buick will present new products. This year, GM Authority will provide on-site coverage.
But perhaps the most anticipated vehicle from GM is going to be the refreshed, 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. The updated performance car will make its official debut during the show on Wednesday, March 27 at 12:45 PM ET, and Chevrolet states that the 2014 Camaro represents a “significant change” for the fifth-generation model, which has been the best-selling car in its class in America for three consecutive years. It sure’s going to be quite a sight for Chevy fans seeing the new Camaro, Corvette C7 Stingray, and SS performance sedan all on display together.

Chrome? really? arrrrg so glad I have a 2011….
I just had a thought, How ironic would it be if the refreshed Camaro receives C7 Corvette-esque tail lights? then Camaro fans would complain….
The internet rage would be so great, it could power a whole city.
Grill is too small, not Camaro-ish.
As someone with a ZL1 dream car, I hate it already.
Grill looks thinner, I hope the front end doesn’t “squint” at you like the ugly 2010 Mustang. The Camaro is selling pretty well, I hope they don’t screw it up.
Grill is too large and needs more chrome……..Yahaaaaaaaaaa. Gold are you kidding me, arrrrg.
I hope they have other changes in store because I can’t imagine that skinny little strip of chrome looking anything other than bad.
I want to see a lot more of the car before I pass judgement on its looks. Besides, I think the important factor will be what engine and transmission(s) will be under the hood.
The angle of the pic is deceiving to the actual size, take into account the size of the bow tie. Compare this to the current grille and its not much smaller if at all. ( I dont think its any smaller). Also I believe the tip of the grille doesn’t stick out in the middle like the current one. More smooth and less retro. I like it.
Why do I have this sinking feeling the front is going to look alot like the new Impala?
not that the Impala is ugly but this is a Camaro.
Grill is too big, grill is too small, grill is too chrome, grill is too black, grill is too vertical, grill is too horizontal, grill is too grilly. Sheesh guys take a pill already!
I wonder if these “significant changes” include weight reduction?
Ed Mundo, that would be nice, but since it’s still the Zeta platform, my guess is there is a limited amount they can do. The big weight reduction will come when it switches to the Alpha platform around 2016. Again, just a guess.
No doubt, bronc624, youre right that theres only so much you can do with Zeta, but even if it were 50 or 100 pounds lighter, it would be better. My underlying point though is just how significant are these changes? I personally dont think cosmetic changes are significant. Im hoping when they say significant they mean that theyve also made changes to power trains (like the rumored addition of the LS7) and chassis to actually make the 2014 perform better than the 2013.
Edmundo, I agree with you 100%.
RjION ……… I agree with you 100%
