On July 19, Turbo — a new CGI comedy from DreamWorks — will hit theaters. And in a little cross-promotion action, Chevrolet put together this comically enhanced Camaro ZL1 for the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
It has 700 horsepower and 24-inch wheels. And an outsized body kit whith a chromed vinyl wrap. And rear tires that are 15 inches wide. The irony of it all of course is that the vehicle is supercharged, and is helping to market a movie called “Turbo.” Still, it’s an awesome show car, and nobody saw it coming.

Ridiculous.
Better than anything 813 Customs puts out. :O
It’s actually an SS with ZL1 badges. It has the L99 engine with 400hp, which also means it has the automatic and cylinder deactivation. The blower is also fake.
One thing amazing about it, the front tires are 10″ wide, and the rears?!!? 15 inches wide!
Or did I get the facts wrong on this?…
I like it! Its FUN, and doesn’t take itself seriously. I especially like how it manages to tap every cliche of performance car culture yet still comes off as “fast”.
