We can never get enough of the dramatic black-and-white short videos that go behind the scenes of the making of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. This one in particular is pure machine porn, showcasing the manufacturing process of the new C7 on the assembly line. Considering the prototypes tend to be built by hand, we’re going to make the educated guess that the footage was shot during the validation process at Bowling Green, with the earliest pre-production models rolling off the line.

As an EE, I admire how robotics are used to build such a beautiful machine. And there is some quality hand assembly, so GM is building as good or even better than the so called “European perfection” manufacturers. GM must carry this perfection concept down to all their assembly lines, and keep all their workers inspired and proud of their jobs, so we can be sure that each GM vehicle is as perfect as any import, but built with an American heart!.
Go, GM! Go, America!
It’s like a metallic ballet, pure poetry.
Metal Porn. Every gram is earned. Now I am all excited all over to get one of these in my garage. I can’t get enough of these either! Keep ’em comin’!!
