Opel/Vauxhall claim to have up to 16 new or revised models by 2016, and one of them is going to be the imperative Corsa subcompact, as evident by recent spy photos found on AutoCar (not pictured above). There’s really nothing to see, besides a very early testing mule indicating that development is well under way, utilizing a new platform.
Early reports indicated that the upcoming Corsa E will hit the market as soon as next year. But considering that the prototype is still using the old model as its skin, it might be at least another two years before launch. It also means that a September debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show for the all-new Corsa is a long-shot as well, and we will perhaps have to wait until the Paris Motor Show in September 2014 until we officially see the new Opel/Vauxhall subcompact.

[squinting eyes] I see…a Buick…Buick something…
Why does GM give us the Sonic when this is a GM and could be sold here? I had one in Spain last year and it was a great car.
The Corsa is an Opel… whereas the Sonic is Chevy’s implementation of a similar architecture.
