Here Are The Clues For Holden’s VF Commodore Scavenger Hunt

Update: this is the 2013 Holden VF Commodore.

Holden has released more clues to its “Build the VF Commodore” scavenger hunt. The new clues follow the first one released on Wednesday, and read:

Perth

“Outside the home of the state’s finest classical musicians lies a small garden built above the bricks.”

“Escape the rush of the CBD and enjoy a picnic in the park of kings. Careful not to get burnt, so seek shelter.”

Adelaide

“If King William ever needed a place to meet his Grocer, this intersection would be ideal.”

“A popular pub for Adelaide East-enders, which fittingly, shares its name with an English town.”

Melbourne

“Grab a drink at a place with a Bend that’s worth $1503 in the mother country. And use a coaster.”

“Instead of just waiting under the clocks, follow the music from 7am-7pm today (Wednesday 6th Feb).”

Brisbane

“Once upon a time you had to head “Down Under” to find this Central bar. Now it sounds like it’s closer to Zanzibar.”

“Generally, post offices don’t let customers drink and dance, but this one does.”

Canberra

“Many baristas think they’re gurus, but there’s only one in the Northern Quarter of Canberra.”

“This car park is popular with IGA City West grocery shoppers. Remember to take the ramp when using a trolley.”

Hobart

“It’s not just the cones at this fish and chip shop that will attract a crowd today.” Figured it out yet?

Sydney

“Pitt yourselves against other pedestrians and keep your eyes on the ground. Today only!”

The first clue for residents of Sydney was released on Wednesday and read:

“On a street in the Rocks named after a rare type of pink diamond, this House usually displays art, not cars.”

The scavenger hunt challenges fans to collect 101 pieces that make up the first image of the next-generation Commodore, and then share them online — thereby collectively assembling the new Commodore as a mosaic ahead of the vehicle’s online reveal on February 9th. Those who find clues and share them online will be entered into a contest to win one of the first VF Commodores assembled. The Commodore VF will serve as the basis for the Chevrolet SS performance sedan that will be imported from Australia into North America.

    1. Agreed. Not only does it get the enthusiasts (greatly) engaged, but it also evokes an interest from the “mainstream non-enthusiast” segment. Overall, more buzz ahead of a debut is never a bad thing… just as long as the product doesn’t disappoint.
