Hot on the heels of sales growth in Australia, China, and the United States, General Motors posted a 6.20 percent year-over-year increase in Canada for the month of January 2013. The month was especially successful for Cadillac, which saw the biggest sales jump of any GM brands, growing 19.74 percent over the same time period last year to 461.
Fueling growth at the Wreath and Crest brand was the new ATS, which was responsible for 106 sales. The SRX sold 175 units, XTS sold 60, and the CTS range dropped 58 percent to 57 units sold.
Meanwhile, Chevy posted a 9.37 percent year-over-year growth of 8,741 vehicles, fueled by the new Malibu (up 44 percent), Volt (up 300 percent), Sonic (up 28 percent), and Orlando (up 40 percent). GMC grew 4.32 percent to 3,987 units sold and Buick declined 24.84 percent to 572 sales.
