In the latest Executive Shuffle, Jim Glynn will assume the role of General Motors North America Labor Relations Vice President, succeeding Cathy Clegg, who has moved to become GM’s Global Manufacturing Vice President. The transitions are effective immediately.
Glynn will oversee union-management partnerships, including joint programs and negotiations, and other key matters involving the UAW and other unions. He has so far served a 34-year career with GM, and was most recently the GM North America Manufacturing Manager, where he oversaw the work of 10 vehicle assembly, powertrain, metal stamping and battery assembly plants.
Meanwhile, Clegg will be in charge of manufacturing engineering responsibilities for automotive press, body, paint, assembly, controls, powertrain and global program management.
