Fans Build 2013 Holden VF Commodore Ahead Of Reveal

Update: this is the 2013 Holden VF Commodore.

In just a few hours, Holden will unveil its highly-refreshed 2013 VF Commodore. And it just so happens that Holden fans have pieced together some of the different elements of the new car thanks to Holden’s pre-reveal social scavenger hunt.

The first image you see above is directly from Holden’s Social Scavenger Hunt website, while the pic below is from GM Authority reader and friend Matt Brokenbrough.

We agree with Matt that the model in the photos doesn’t appear to be a Commodore SS, but rather the Calais trim that serves as the flagship of the range.

And from what we’re able to deduce, the grille is reminiscent of something from Mercedes-Benz, while the lights bear a resemblance to the Acura RL. Meanwhile, the lower fog/LED lights have an Audi-esque curve to them, which don’t really look like the rendering by Motoring.

Join us in a few hours here as Holden unveils the VF online for all the world to see. Suffice to say, the model — in one trim level or another — will make its way to North America as the Chevrolet SS Performance Sedan.
