Along with being manufactured in Oshawa, Ontario for the North American market, the Cadillac XTS sedan will begin production in China, for the Chinese market.
The Chinese-spec XTS is priced between RMB 349,900 ($56,000) to RMB 569,900 ($91,000) and offers five variants with two engine options — a 2.0L turbocharged four cylinder and the familiar 3.6L V6 LFX engine. Local assembly will let the car avoid the heavy tariffs put on imported vehicles.
It should also help that Cadillac’s Chinese dealer network has grown to more than 150 locations, nearly double what it was a year ago, with plans to have as many as 250 dealerships in the next two years. With the locally-built XTS and the fortified dealer network, Cadillac hopes to break 100,000 annual sales in China by 2015 — more than three times the 30,000 odd sales observed in 2012.

What’s that price in USD?
As long as American version not made in China I’m cool
I’ve heard the Vauxhall & Opel Omega due at the latter end of 2013 is based on this car wonder if this is true, wonder if we will get a sporty V8 VXR version. I’ve seen some Omega pictures on the Internet & it looks quite similar.
Wonder how long it will take the Chinese market to figure out that Cadillac’s CUE “Infotainment” system sucks. GM and Cadillac can now disappoint a billion more people.
