Ad Break: Cadillac CUE Replaces “Buttons”

This ad for the Cadillac XTS begins by asking you to count the number of buttons in your car. Then it asks you to count the number of buttons on your tablet. “Isn’t it time the automobile advanced”, asks the narrator’s deep and charming voice. Well, yes… we imagine it is.

The ad then goes on to introduce Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system, which pretty much does away with buttons in favor of a touch screen and capacitative-touch controls — saying that the XTS has arrived, thereby “bringing the future forward”:

Given the lukewarm (if not worse) receipt of CUE, there’s an inevitable sense of irony here… but not to worry — a CUE update is coming soon!
