With the launch of the all-new 2014 Silverado taking place in a few months, Chevrolet has trickled out a few clips of the truck from testing. Specifically, the one below shows footage of the new Silverado exercising its 4×4 and off-road capabilities. And while it’s safe to say a good portion of these trucks will never even feel grass in their tire treads, it’s still good to know that the new pickup is up to the off-roading task if the occasion calls for it.

If I have a chance to buy a new truck, this is what I would be doing.. Especially where I live, you hardly see trucks without a little bit of mud on them..
Why bother making a video of a camouflaged silverado when their appearance was made public over a month ago? Still, fun to watch.
Boring
That suppose to be a thumbs up Benman, my fingers to big to hit them on my phone..
They’re camoed probably because they were filmed before the unveil.
The test vehicle used is wearing 2500/3500HD mirrors. 1500 or first sighting of the new HD’s???
Ground clearance still isn’t high enough and only 12″ of water is weak. None of that terrain would have even required 4 wheel drive to cross.
Are you kidding me? Driving on graded roads and through puddles is for sissy’s! My 1995 ZR-2 would dust that POS! Chevy used to race the trucks that they sold in the 80’s and 90’s in Baja and the California/Nevada deserts. They kicked ass on the competition because of their R&D division. In fact, many drivers chose Chevy trucks because of their reputation. Now, Ford is the only manufacture that is serious about their 4×4 drive program, racing the Raptor and winning. I’m a staunch Chevy guy but, unfortunately this truck does nothing for me. And I don’t know why they have had it covered up for testing. The competition won’t be interested in anything I can see.
Looks really strong, and well-built to use in all types of off-road driving conditions. The front bumper design of this forthcoming looks very unique and compelling than the earlier versions.
