Just this morning, Cadillac released the above image of the upcoming Cadillac ELR as it was piloted through the mountains of Southern California during development testing.
The ELR will be unveiled next week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and we will be in attendance to bring you unparalleled coverage. The two-door extended-range luxury coupe is expected to use an upgraded variant of the Voltec powertrain found in the Chevy Volt.
From the photo, we can see the door-mounted mirrors and a set of (sexy) blacked-out wheels. Can’t wait? Neither can we. Of course, some would throw a fit over this kind of marketing/pre-launch strategy… but we like it.

Looks a lot like the body style of the Tru 140S concept car, no?
Even though the 140 isn’t a hybrid, this looks like a step in the right direction 🙂
Weird because it looks like the ELR concept to me!
Might I ask when the CTS will be unveiled?
I endorse spy photos. But what I would do is make an official tip off to local photographers that the car will be on the road in [insert city here] between the hours of [insert start time here] and [insert stop time here]. Then say “Catch it if you can!” Then there would be some really good, natural shots.
