Next-Generation 2014 Cadillac Escalade Rendered By CarScoop

Of all the upcoming, next-generation full-sized sport utility vehicles on the horizon, there is none more hotly anticipated than the Cadillac Escalade, expected to be out by 2014.

With the current, third-generation model being on the market since 2006, the aging SUV still commands a shiny, muscular presence. But it doesn’t hide the fact that there are mounds of aging hardware that have lost their relevance in this ever-changing, fast-paced automotive market. The fourth-generation Escalade looks to change that, packed with what we can expect to be the latest in Cadillac’s technology and refinement, while retaining its full-sized pedigree. And if we’re to believe the words of Mark Reuss, it is to be “much less ostentatious,” and more tasteful.

With all of that in mind, CarScoop went on to render what they believe the 2014 Cadillac Escalade will resemble, based on spy photos and rumors swirling around the vehicle. We don’t feel they’ve done a bad job, but you may feel differently. Opine in the comment section below!

  1. I may change my mind when I see the real thing but this rendering is smokin hot… One problem it reminds me immediately of the Durango (The roof line). I really like this though, on carscoop someone mentioned they would buy a whole slew of other competitors like land rover, porsche ect… Are you kidding me, first your paying thousands more, maybe 10ns of thousands more. And then there is the Thousands you would spend maintaining it… People blow me away, this hands down is the right direction for the escalade…

  2. Loveing the look of it before anything. I’ve goen back and forth of the different gens to like between all the the GM suv’s but something tells me i’m going to be really wanting either this or a GMC Yukon Denali if it will look anything like the new Acadia Denali styling wise. Great looking rig and can’t wait to see it in persona some day!! Yall can keep ur Land Rovers, i’ll keep my Cadillac!

  3. THIS is more my style. Not bad at all. I’d love to see how the vertical tail-lights are incorporated into that D pillar, though. I think I would have preferred a bit more of a rake to the rear windshield too. Of course, we can only wait and see. But as is usually the case with GM trucks, I routinely prefer the SUVs to the pickups and since I have openly and loudly given failing grades to the recent GMC and Chevrolet offerings, I think this might be the redeeming factor.

    1. It’s just a rendering the overall shape n size will remain similar to the current gen most styling changes will be like front fascia headlights tail lights also saying less chrome to appeal to different customers.. and a new interior like the ones in the new ats and xts and cue system a more refined ride with more power (6.2) and of course better fuel econ

  4. I liked the front end shot above. Not sure about the rest of it, though. Hopefully the real thing moves SUV styling forward. An Escalade shouldn’t be outdone by a Ford Flex.

  5. this has quiet a bit of a look from the GMC Terrain, for Cadillac i guess its fine for me, but im more interested in the Tahoe/Suburban rendering were awaiting for, cause there going to be allot more of them on the road and i hope they don’t drop the ball on the professional look for them. Due to the Police force having to use them and the Border patrol… they haven’t ever dropped the ball on them yet so i feel good about it. 🙂

  6. I like it. I’m not sure it I’d like a more rough n’ tumble appearance (I feel like the Escalade should give off the faintest hint of being a tank), but it’s nice. I’m not sold 100%, but I like where it’s going.

  7. The front end is too disproportionate and soft. It isn’t sharp like the rest of Cadillac, but it looks like one. It’s just a big XTS. The side view and the wheels look quite nice, though.

    1. True, though that’s not necessarily bad thing.

  8. What I see here would certainly out-do any damn Range Rover or Porsche. What I want GM to do, is to incorporate a transfer case on this truck to make it the ultimate SUV with the new GM DI V-8 and 8-speed transmission.

  10. yeah i also just seen the rest of this side shot, and the windows being at the same ratio’s makes it look like another cross over or MINI VAN 🙁

    1. Lol just look.at the spy shots its still gona be shaped like a tahoe/suburban same windows n doors etc.. but if u read into it and see the photos the grille will be bigger n real aluminum look instead of chrome plastic it’ll look like the xts n ats and vertical lighting of course and less chrome trim.. they plan on making it appear less blingy but offer trim levels for ppl who want bling, but ths real story is the interior which wont look like a reversed tahoe dash n look like ur sitting in a true luxury suv.. can’t take renderings so serious lol I’m sure the new one will look similar to this picture but not 100% .. n best of all its getting the new 6.2 n an 8 speed auto

  14. I think that beast is hideous! It looks like an ATS having an allergic reaction and puffing up. I hope the Yukon Denali looks better.

  15. This rendering is a little bland so I hope the actual design is better. C’mon Cadillac designers … use your heads and try to remember what a Cadillac is all about, where it came from, and what it means to the public. Big, bold, beautiful, sexy, a status symbol. It grabs your attention like a beautiful woman walking down the street dressed to kill! Hint:
The front should have big shiny attractive headlights like a woman with big beautiful eyes, the rear red lights should reach up from bumper to near the roofline like long sexy legs, the interior dashboard should look like an expensive stereo system (dark solid mahogany wood no less) . Put extra large LED screens in the dash. Remember, this is a Cadillac, we take no prisoners.
The best dashboard I’ve seen to date is that of the Lexus LX570. Cadillac, it’s your move … checkmate, baby.
