Jay Leno, Ed Welburn Examine 2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray (Video)

Fewer people in the world own, or have driven as many cars as late-night talk show host Jay Leno has. Let’s add the 2014 Corvette Stingray to that list while we’re at it. Within a few months, he’ll probably buy one, too.

In this video, Jay goes inside and out of the car, discussing his favorite parts about it with GM design chief Ed Welburn in a nearly 12-minute walk-around video. Of course, Leno likes just about everything. (We agree with him, too.) And to top it all off, that lucky you-know-what gets to drive away in it.

  3. I thought that I would never fall in love again after a number of failed relationships, but I really have fallen in love, this time with the most gorgeous automobile that I have ever laid my eyes on. GM has really hit the jackpot with this fantastic design and I can hardly wait to see one close up and actually start it up and hear that great sound coming out of that great exhaust system. I have been around cars all my life, but this one has really turned me on! Congratulations, GM, on a job well done!

  4. I am so happy to be a GM fan. They have their slip ups but I will always be a GM fan no matter what. I just love their cars. All my best memories involve a GM car. The fact that the Vette will absolutley destroy a 911 Carerra S (a $90,000 sports car) on the strip and show it up on a track makes me so happy to be a GM fan. It’s like slapping Hitler in the face. If I owned a 911 S I would cower down in my seat while pulling up next to the Stingray at a traffic light. I guess I just love the fact that American car buyers can pull up to cocky Audi, BMW and Porsche owners and make them bow down to their new Vette or CTS-V. If I owned a CTS-V Coupe I would spend most of my day crusing around Suburban Detroit for 2 reasons: 1. To make Audi S5/RS5 owners feel like shit and 2. To just drive and drive.. And drive

  5. I thought I wanted this car after seeing the reveal vid and pics. But now after seeing it in natural light, I MUST HAVE one! Even the wife (a big original Viper GTS and C6 Z06 fan) watched the vid and said “We are saving up for a new Corvette.” and her tone was such that I don’t think saying no is an option.
