I normally go bowtie over letters, but the new Sierra is considerably more tasteful-looking–in my opinion–than its chrome-heavy Silverado counterpart. And those are some nice colors, especially that red, which looks a lot like the Crystal Red Tintcoat available on the 2013 Chevy ‘Bu.
No blue?
No blue? And where is Victory Red? Fire Red looks fine but Victory Red has been offered for years and has been adopted by many fleets so is one of those standards you have to always offer. Bad decision to replace it.
Fire Red IS Victory Red
Both are 74U
GM does reuse color codes sometiimes so until I see a color chip or in person I will reserve judgement.
Would love to see a nice green come back. I owned 3 green GM pickups in the past, but no green from 2007 on.
Fairway Green Metallic is offered on the 2013’s
Wy they show more the Chevy gmc pickup look better…yes is the same truck but gmc is a better saler
I need to know when I can order 14 2500 & 14 Corvette
Here we go again!!!
The dark blue metallic was offered on the first year of the GMT800 truck — then they changed to a bright blue. There was an uproar from dealers, customers and fleets and they brought it back.
Now they have deleted it again — and haven’t even put another blue out there.
As nice as some of the colors look, GM really needs to understand how important these are and be competitive here too. The new Ram has 12 exterior colors and 4 interior colors.
GM used to own the dressed up pickup market with all its two tones — especially the ZY4 two tone. They have bowed to plant pressure (two tones are time consuming) and want to look good on the Harbor reports instead of giving the customers and dealers what they want.
I was involved with the GMT800 rollout and I remember asking one of the Chevy team why they got rid of the ZY4 two tones on the GMT800s and they said that they were mainly sold as “Fleet”. I asked the person if they realized that GM’s sales reports for “Fleet” included leases which should be considered like retail sales (the price of the ZY4 two tone, although expensive, translated to only a few extra dollars per month but gave the lessor a lot bigger return at the back end). I got a look that told me that they didn’t.
Very nicel looking truck. Will plan to buy a new truck while this body style is on the lot. However, I am not pleased with the absence of Green, Blue or Brown. Ask any boy or man his favorite color and more than half of them will say blue or green. So, why no blue or green colors in the full size truck lineup? Love GM trucks, but for the past decade their color selections have been poor. More black, white and grey variations than any actual colors. Hey GM, two facts that may assist your color selection process: Men and Boys love trucks…Men and Boys love Green and Blue.
Posted about that earlier.
When the GMT800 was launched, they had a nice dark blue metallic. They dropped it and went to a bright blue metallic instead. The market revolted — they added the dark blue back in.
Now they get rid of it completely. Making the mistake once okay — but doing it again???? Stupid.
Ford has 11 exterior colors. Chrysler has 12. GM decides it only needs 9.
Who is making these decisions?? You invest billions in a new pickup and then decide you don’t need to be competitive on color and trim??
I agree with the colour selection , it’s weak . Colour is huge part . I have 2010 charcoal grey and wanted a new 2014 but I’m not seeing a colour here . I’ve only owned GM (21) but I may have to look at ford and dodge for a colour I like
Iridium Metallic is actually a dark grey in person
Seriously? It doesn’t to me.
Looks more like a dark burgandy.
I was holding out for the ‘014 in hopes of the charcoal grey comback. Bummer. The stealth grey is not even really a grey at all. i’m agrreing with tit’s time to move on to a different brand.
whats the paint code for the bronze alloy? i have a tonneuo cover that needs to be color matched.
Is gmc irridium the same as tungsten in Chevy?
