While North American consumers can’t even look at a Chevy Trailblazer, S10/Colorado pickup, orCaptiva crossover in dealer showrooms, their counterparts in Argentina are not only able to drive them in the beautiful coastal resort towns in Argentina, but they’re also able to hoon them in the sand.
That’s all thanks to Chevy offering test drives in Argentinian coastal resort towns and tourist attractions such as Pinamar, Cariló, and Mar del Plata, while exhibiting its latest offerings. In particular, the sand driving is part of exclusive clinics for Chevrolet customers.
So while Cadillac hosts ice driving clinics in Germany, the U.S. gets Cadillac golf clinics and the cancellation of Main Street in Motion… we’re not yet sure if this is irony at its best, or if it’s exemplary of the vast disparity in the things consumers on both regions are interested in doing with their vehicles. All sarcasm aside: lucky doesn’t even begin describe the fine Argentinian ladies and gents who will be able to drive in Argentina’s sandbox. All we can do is look at these pictures… and weep.

My next vaca; whew ya…
I don’t think bringing the Trailblazer to the US would be all that bad of an idea.
I think they should return to the S-10 name. I know a lot of people including myself that have fond memories of those trucks. Can not say the same for the Colorado, there’s not much equity in that name.
