At Over 20,000 Orders, New Opel Adam Seems Off To A Good Start

In case anybody was wondering if the Opel Adam would make a splash in the European market, the answer is yes. At 20,000 orders and counting, the first-ever Opel Adam is attracting mini-car segment buyers at a cheerful rate, with most orders being placed in Germany.

January marks the first month of Opel/Vauxhall Adams rolling off the line at the Eisenach plant. And perhaps what’s most attractive is the vehicle’s personalization capabilities. For instance, Opel claims that just over 61,000 combinations exist for the exterior and nearly 82,000 for the interior, meaning that just about every model could be different.

  2. This car would be a possibility to introduce Opel in the US. The Adam doesn’t really fit to Buick and especially not to Chevrolet… so why not Opel as a Mini and Fiat 500 -competitor?

  3. Maybe GM is afraid the Adam would kill Spark sales, which it probably would do. They sold Opels 40 years ago at Buick dealers.
