2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Expected To Make Official Debut At Geneva

As if the hype wasn’t high enough, reports are emerging that the 2014 Corvette Stingray will continue to build momentum around the world with an official debut of the convertible version at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Press days for the show begin March 5, and let us remind you, Geneva is in Switzerland.

A few of you may find it puzzling for a version of an American icon to be revealed in Europe, but as Chevrolet positions the Corvette to be a global sports car, it needs all the European media attention it can get. And it wouldn’t be the first time a new Covette convertible showed itself across the pond first, as Geneva was also used to debut the C6 Corvette convertible back in 2004.

When the sheet does come off the C7 convertible, expect it to resemble the photo above almost directly, if not exactly. Also expect it to have a cloth roof, to keep the weight down.
