As ardent spectators of (the most directly-related to real vehicles) motorsports, we tend to follow Corvette Racing very closely. So you can imagine our elation upon coming across this helmetcam footage of Tommy Milner racing the No. 4 Corvette Racing C6R at the Baltimore Grand Prix in September.
The fact that the footage comes from the perspective of Milner’s helmet gives us a more direct and realistic perspective of the realities experienced by a championship-winning race car driver in an ultra-competitive series. What may surprise you the most as you watch this footage is the speed, agility, and precision with which Milner conducts the ‘Vette.
As an added bonus, Milner and team mate Oliver Gavin (who took over for Milner about halfway through the race) drove the No. 4 C6R to second place during the event, finishing a mere 2.2 seconds behind the winning No. 17 Porsche. So without further ado, listen to her roar:
