Carscoop Envisions Chevrolet SS In ZL1 Form

The 2014 Chevrolet SS has yet to be officially revealed, but that hasn’t stopped outlets from rendering their own versions based on the light, grille and tail lamp designs seen on the official NASCAR version. Taking it to the next level, though, is Carscoop with their rendering of a range-topping “ZL1” version of the SS.

Whether or not a more super Super Sport sedan (alliteration, kids) would be called the ZL1 is beside the point. Maybe GM will reverse the nomenclature, and call it the “SS Chevelle”, rather than the other way around, which would have made more sense from the get-go. Notably, there have been reports of supercharged Holden VF Commodores (the vehicle the SS is based on) testing under camouflage, which would essentially make them four-door Chevy Camaro ZL1 models. Essentially.

  2. Cosign the air intake comments there is a such thing as overkill, other than that i believe this is arguably the best ss rendering I’ve seen yet! Very aggressive design on the front end and the lines give it a more sculpted and athletic look..idk y he didnt do the back as well but all in all the best one I’ve seen yet!

  3. If this is the front end, Wow… But the Catera/Lumina back end has got to go..,
Absolutely love the front of this car, excellent…

  4. Guess it’s a 4-door, right? Guess I’m OLD School but, 2-door coupes just look better when they’re a sport version. Ever see a 4-door Vette or Camaro?

  5. Has an official introduction date been made?
