Trucks just aren’t what they used to be. For example, just look at the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups. Just how big, and how much bells and whistles do they need? At some point, it calls us back to another time, before many of us were born, where pickups were nothing more than curved shapes of rolling steel, a low bed, and a floor-mounted shifter. That’s the essence of the above Chevrolet C3100 pickup truck done by Art Morrison Enterprises. Except it’s also much, much more.
Fitted with a turn-key 350 crate motor straight from Chevrolet Performance Parts, and taken to the next level with a load of after-market fortifications from front-to back, this old farm truck is a ground-up resto-mod pro-touring dream project. Even the chassis it’s riding on was built by Morrison and was designed as a bolt-on frame for hot rods.
Morrison even claims that their 3100 has Chevrolet Corvette-esque driving characteristics, thanks to its very low stance and coil-over suspension. It sure sounds the part. Give the video a look just below.
They did an awesome job on that build. Thanks for sharing.
You might NOT be a redneck if you lower your truck instead of raising it.
