Jokingly, we’ve talked among ourselves about transplanting a 7.0L LS7 V8 engine found in the Corvette Z06 and 427 Convertible into the body of a tiny Chevrolet Spark. Jokingly.
As it turns out, somebody was actually crazy enough to do such a thing. According to Corvette Blogger, this heavily modified late-model Spark (also known as the Matiz) has been built for the track. Most impressively, it packs 550-hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmh (62 mph) in only 3.7 seconds and tops out at 260 kmh (161 mph).
Other upgrades surrounding one of our favorite engines of all time is a sequential gearbox, and FIA-certified cage, and 18-inch wheels complete with racing slicks. Did we mention the bonkers body kit and wing?
The super Spark also happened to be up for auction on ebay.de for the seemingly low price of 43,000 Euros — just over $55,000. However, it seems the auction has ended, and somebody has a new race car.
*Update: it turns out there were no bids. Imagine that.

What unholy creation is this?!? Can we use this in the circuit?
That wing would do more good hanging out front than back
Insanity and Brilliance aren’t so far apart…..

how in the hell doesn’t this twist the chassis all to sh*t?
The auction appears to have ended with no bids, no sale…
An LS3 Malibu doesn’t seem outrageous anymore
Who woulda guessed that the Juke-R would get a competitor.
Maybe the LS7 gets a good MPG rating as the Spark is such a light vehicle.
