Spied: Cadillac ELR Spotted Hot-Weather Testing (Video)

Spy shooters have comprised a video featuring a small pack of Cadillac ELR plug-in coupes testing in Death Valley, along with a few Chevrolet Volts. And even though the vehicle remains veiled under heavy camo, we can still make out that the ELR will look just like the Converj Concept from the outside, just with functional mirrors. Inside, the CUE infotainment system will work through a pair of LCD screens; one in the center stack and the other in place of a traditional instrument panel.

The upcoming plug-in coupe will begin production beginning the later half of 2013, with word that it will first be officially revealed during next year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, though we feel that’s a tad overdue.

  1. I hope it has a third electric drive motor in a rear axle. A little extra torque shouldn’t hurt anything. 😎
