General Motors has reported 195,764 unit sales in the United States for the month of October 2012 — the highest October sales in the United States since 2007. The results are up 4.7 percent over October of last year, while deliveries to retail customers were up 7 percent, and sales to fleet customers were down 2 percent.
“GM had a solid October in a month that was marked by a devastating national tragedy,” said Kurt McNeil, vice president, U.S. sales operations. “All of us at GM are deeply saddened by the loss of life and the extensive damage caused by the storms, but we’re really encouraged by the national and local response, which will speed the recovery.”

Under the Chevy listing, “Cadillac sales are up 2.7 percent to 135,305 sales” **and** also under the Cadillac listing, “Cadillac sales are up 14.5 percent to 13,505”.
Good to see the Cruze and Verano WAY up. On the other hand, the Regal is really struggling. Except for the performance-oriented GS model, perhaps GM should consider dropping this car.

I think there is a typo or two in your figures.
Good to see the Cruze and Verano WAY up. On the other hand, the Regal is really struggling. Except for the performance-oriented GS model, perhaps GM should consider dropping this car.
Around here there are Regals everywhere. I see at least two at every red light.
I think the issue is pricing. A Verano is $23k, Regal $29K and LaCrosse $31.6K.
The Regal also gets worse MPG than the Verano and the LaCrosse,
The LaCrosse needs to get a bit bigger and the Regal can then get a touch larger to separate it from the Verano. Regal should also drop to $27k.
But that is a longer term solution. Perhaps they should sell only a Turbo version with a GS option available.
And GM continues at about 18% of the US market.
If American car buyers bought more of their national products and stopped buying imports, then GM could be at over 50%!
